In questo periodo dell'anno Freya diventa una madre amorevole e piena di vita dando vita al sole figlio.
Nella tradizione cristiana che Freya è stata rappresentata al vertice dell '"albero del mondo" è stato sostituito dalla stella in cima all'albero di Natale.
